Privacy

The short version: there are no accounts and nothing to sign up for. We count visits with Google Analytics unless you turn it off, and if you write to us, your message reaches us by email.

What leaves your browser

Ordinary requests for the site itself. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser type. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

A message, if you send one. If you use the contact form, your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message are sent to us by email, so we can reply. They are delivered through our email provider, Brevo (see Brevo's privacy policy). We use them only to answer you.

Visit counts, unless you turn them off. Described under Analytics below.

The dates you enter in the "Already applied?" boxes stay in your browser. Those calculations happen on your device and are never sent anywhere.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits: how many people arrive, which pages they read and how they found the site. It is on unless you turn it off. For now we count visits without asking first, to see how much the site is used.

Analytics is on in this browser.

Turning it off takes effect straight away. Google Analytics' cookies are removed from this browser and Google is told to stop using them, and from the next page you open, the analytics script isn't loaded at all. The choice is saved in this browser, so it applies to this browser only. You can turn analytics back on with the same button.

While it is on, Google receives what any website analytics tool receives: the page you are on, the page that sent you here, roughly where you are in the world and what kind of device and browser you use. Google says Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. We switch off Google's advertising features, so visit data isn't used to show you ads.

See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site. No ads are shown and no advertising cookies are set. If we add advertising, this page will say so first.

A box marked "Advertisement" may link to another company's service, such as travel insurance. If you follow it, that company may learn that you came from this site.

Cookies

Unless you turn analytics off, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (their names start with _ga) to recognise a returning visit. Turn it off, and they are removed and none are set. The site itself stores one thing in your browser, and only if you use the switch above: your analytics choice.

Links

Pages link to other sites, such as IRCC's official tool. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.

Your rights

We keep no account or profile for you. A message you send through the contact form arrives as an ordinary email. If you'd like it deleted, reply to our answer and ask.

Children

This site is about immigration applications and is not directed at children.

Changes

If what the site does with data changes, this page changes with it. It describes what the site does now, not a plan.
